p965 chipset with e8400 possible?

anand released an article on 45nm compatibility, but doesn't say if the gigabyte 965 motherboards are going to have compatibility, rather that he will do more testing in the future.
What the heck! does anyone have any information or has anyone tried running a 45nm core2duo or core2quad in a gigabyte 965 - or any other 965 for that matter. I know msi's 965-based motherboards will support 45nm core2duos - so with a bios update, hopefully my gigabyte will as well.

One of the guys in this existing thread on the subject was apparently going to contact Gigabyte regarding the matter on the 8th January. Might be worth contacting him or posting in that thread?

well the 965 isnt 1333 bus....

but i'd figure if they decide to support the new e5000 series, which is 1066 officially on 965, then overclocked the 965 could support the e8400.
