p8p67pro rev 1.01 (i.e. mobo with affected SATA ports)

BIOS is still back from launch - never swapped out the affected board with something else because i never used the affected SATA ports.

looking at the website they have REV3.1 listed; nothing for 1.01 boards are listed.

Usually its a no-no to match a different rev...any advice? I'd like to use something newer because I was going to give OC around round, and more mature bios versions should be more stable. I know that the last version was released in 2012, but a year is a big difference, and mine is early 2011 🙂

Doesn't make sense. Please explain.

Those boards were officially declared defective and recalled. Only way to know is to take the chance and try it, risk killing the board. You could probably get a BIOS chip programmed with the backup file you can create from the current BIOS, if it is socketed.
