p8p67pro rev 1.01 (i.e. mobo with affected SATA ports)

BIOS is still back from launch - never swapped out the affected board with something else because i never used the affected SATA ports.

looking at the website they have REV3.1 listed; nothing for 1.01 boards are listed.

Usually its a no-no to match a different rev...any advice? I'd like to use something newer because I was going to give OC around round, and more mature bios versions should be more stable. I know that the last version was released in 2012, but a year is a big difference, and mine is early 2011 :)

Those boards were officially declared defective and recalled. Only way to know is to take the chance and try it, risk killing the board. You could probably get a BIOS chip programmed with the backup file you can create from the current BIOS, if it is socketed.
