P8P67 Deluxe wont detect raid card in 2nd PCIE slot

I've been playing with my PCIe Areca ARC-1210 raid card in my new setup and finally by putting (squeezing) it in the bottom PCIE slot i get it to work, nothing seemed to allow it to be detected when it was in the 2nd PCIe slot on my board. I looked through the bios (even tried disabling the onboard options) and don't see anything that could be changed to allow the card to work in the 2nd slot. I will not be SLI/XF and it's sortof a pain having that card in the bottom of my P180, makes it impossible to reach the power buttons and the wires get in the way of the fan on the ARECA.

Anyone know of a way to let me use my 2nd PCIe slot for this card? Thanks!
 
I have a feeling ASUS is scrambling to release a good BIOS update for this board. Seeing as how this is the most selling and most problematic P67 board on earth.

Mine went back to RMA, sorry i dont have any real useful suggestions i hope you get your RAID card working. Let us know if you get it solved.
