P750 vs 9600 2D fight!

With respect to 2d only, will there be a difference in web pages or clarity of text fonts in 800 X 600 or 1024 X 768 between the:

Matrox P750 or

Sapphire Atlantis ATI RADEON 9600 PRO ULTIMATE.

I appreciate your thoughts ? but 2D is the question as everyone already knows the answer to 3D (dah). More accurate color rendition is irrelevant.

TIA

at that low res, i dont think it matters, but if you were to carefully examine it, i am sure the matrox would be superior in terms of 2d quality

Matrox is all about 2d. Don't waste money on a 3d card if you aren't going to use it correctly.

In terms of a visible/noticable difference in signal quality, I don't think there will be any at those low resolutions. (There should be a difference at higher resolutions, but I'd imagine still not a big one.)

Both cards will offer nice 2D and DVD and TV out. The 9600P will give you great 3D performance with AA+AF; the P750 will give you Triple-head and 30-bit color and Glyph AA (faster than Cleartype, and works in Win2K).

Thank you Schadenfroh, touchmyichi, MercenaryForHire, and Pete for your responses (so far).

Pete?s hit the nail on the head with his statement that:

? I don't think there will be any [difference] at those low resolutions?

Also, Pete?s contrast explained that the 2D choice would be not be about 2D:

9600P:
?great 3D performance with AA+AF?

P750:
?Triple-head?
?30-bit color?
?Glyph AA (faster than Cleartype, and works in Win2K)?

Once again, thanks.
