Do you have a link for his post? Did he fabricate that himself?

Does water flow through the whole thing or just through the acrylic parts?

He does fab work himself. Looks like the block is wetted however I'd like to see an "under the hood" shot to show channeling. 😉

Perhaps not necessary BUT if you've used this board and OC to its potential there is a LOT of heat getting thrown off the stock cooling. I would be curious what the temps before and after look like.

I had an EVGA Classified 759 that was running 123C on the northbridge when overvolted at higher frequencies. Even stock it would idle in the upper 70's. Removing the cooler helped little however it was found the spring loaded screws were not strong enough and adding two fiber washers under each screw brought temps down over 25C! Adding a 60cm fan to the heatsink keeps the temps under 80C on the worst conditions. (Over 40C cooler than stock!) Still toasty but worked fine.

There is no temperature readout on the NB on the P6T7 but I would suspect it's on the hot side.

You know i invented the waterbridge that connects 2 blocks into 1 large block.

The bridge is what people / vendors use on all fullboard blocks.

But that concept was drawn out, and invented by me. :T

Well being that I have both boards I'd have to say no. The Classified is crippled in the i/o department. Off by 20% is no laughing matter! That will make that big boner of yours limp! 😛

HA! Yes the famine worsens as you have two more cores to feed but the i/o is already starved from four! Oh wait you don't have an SSD. 😛

I'm supposed to be receiving some 4X SLI Classified boards (dual NF200) which would be the competition for the P6T7. I will be curious if the i/o "handicap" is still present. At least they should work with those EVO1250 Galaxy PSUs. 🙂

Perhaps I need to update it with CLASSIFIED X58 REPAIR KIT burnished into the handle - with a CO2 laser of course!

The cheesy red classified banner would probably be the first thing that falls off after the first swing. Two brads could keep it attached to the handle for future tweaking! Take that you sorry excuse for a chipset cooler!

If we went to the arctic with temperatures supporting long term ice we could turn the shuffleboard deck into a curling deck and use motherboards instead of stones! 😀

Too bad there is no yacht snob around to prove me wrong here as my knowledge of boats is only average at least as far as craft of pleasure are concerned! 😛
