P6T Deluxe and extra nb heatsink fan, direction?

Hi guys,

i have a p6t deluxe and I would like to install the extra nb heatsink fan on the chipset (room and connectors provided by asus, fan seperat):

I have 2 questions:
1. is it usefull
2. if yes, does the fan have to blow onto the chipset?

if you're overclocking, any airflow onto the chipset would be useful because it can get a little toasty. If you don't mind the buzz of a 40mm fan, set it to be blowing onto the chipset.
I have a side case fan blowing onto mine.
