hi all, im havin some major probs with this board. I jsut got it as a server so i can put my files on it. Ok, got everything installed, and it locks up at random places. So i was thinking bios, so i flashed the bios to the newest one which is 3.1. Still havin probs installin windows xp off of a full (clean) install. i have gotten to the actuall windows xp installation, but then after a while, it jsut blue screens out. Can someoone help me, id like to get this thing runnin.

enlight case
2x pIII 700
supermicro p6dbe rev.2
latest bios
old ibm 10gig hd
256 mb ram
ati viper 770ultra vid card
windows xp
 
windows xp home or pro ?

since youre running 2 p3 700's must have pro but since you didn't state the version i decided to ask
also if i am not mistaken win xp requirements state 7200 40 gig harddrive although it is not listed at microsoft so probably a marketing gimic

but a search at microsoft for supermicro p6dbe rev.2 and going thru all supermicro motherboards suggests no support in xp for this motherboard?

did you try another operating system?say 98 as that what it states it supports HERE

maybe later they might support xp but as yet it doesn't look like it

sorry but searching their site produced no xp drivers also a search at 2cpu.com produced nothing

i honestly dont know anything about dual processors but maybe someone else knows if this is
possible. searching produces no hits at all sorry
