Just bought this and I am having a problem even getting this to post. Fans boot and HD starts to boot. No video image, monitor resets and then blanks.

I stripped out unnecessary components- still no joy.

I have an Thermaltake XaserIII 480 with 24 pin adapter and EZ 4 plug molex connected.
SATA 1 Port using WD 80 gig HD
Pentium D 805 w/ stock heatsink.
Inno3d 6200 TC video in 1st PCI 16 slot.

2X1 Gig PNY memory in Black series of slots.

All components new.

I will be trying to use only one stick of memory, and then will be taking MB out of case and trying to boot on non-conductive surface. Anyone else got advice?

Plug in the square 4-pin ATX12V cable too. It's the one with two yellow wires and two black wires.

The 4 pin was loose....

That was fixed. Now XP (SP1) installs but crashes right at end. I have a 6 pin adapter from a molex and there is a molex plug in to the board. Should I fire these up too? (Do I need this much power just for the little 6200 TC card I have?)

To start with, WinXP is a total worm magnet when it's at SP1 level. You plug in the network cable, WHAMO, here come the worms. Unless you have a router and/or a software firewall, that is... do you have at least one level of firewall protection before plugging in the network cable (if you even got that far)?

If the video card has a PCI-Express power receptacle on it, then you want to hook it up. If the motherboard has an EZ Plug (4-pin Molex-style receptacle), then I would hook that up too, but you can check the motherboard manual to see whether it's mandatory or optional.

Thanks... not hooked to a network. I build some systems- just usually amd.. the power supplies were a bit unusual this round........... and this is my first PCI-xpress build. Will try it.
