The P5TX-B mobo made by ECS( used in a lot of PC Direct pentiums) is sposed to be able to take SD RAM but I cant get mine to recognise the new Apacer 64Mb Pc100 Module.
It had 32Mb of sdram and when i installed the new 64 mb module it only counted Half ,giving a total of 64 not 96.
Ive removed the old 32 stick and tried the 64 on its own ....still only sees 1/2 or 32mb.
Ive tried 2 x64 mb sticks.....sees only 1/2 of that too 64 mb total .
All the ram is brand new and checks out fine in another comp. Also this is the second p5tx-b that i have had do this ....Does anyone know of a fix ?

You may be dealing with a TAG SRAM problem. Super7 mainboards need a certain amount of this TAG memory on the mobo, in order to utilize a certain amount of Simm or Dimm capacity. If the board recognizes only 64 Mb of Sdram, or 64 Mb of FP or EDO Simms, it REALLY only can use 64 Mb. Chances are that what's called a Coast module must be replaced with a bigger one. 'Fraid I have no idea where to look for these, sorry.
