P5Q Problems With on Board Audio

Just finished a new build and all is going well except I cant get my speakers to work at all. I have BA quad speakers and the realtek audio driver successfully installed. and yes ive tried multiple of the audio ports just in case I made a stupid mistake 🙂

I'm Running Vista SP1 and 6.01 Realtek audio drivers

Any ideas on how to get this to work as im totally lost on this even though I'm sure its a simple fix.

Well check that you have it cinnected correctly. Then check to make sure the speakers are recceiving power. next you'll want to look into the device manager to see if the audio is having any problems. Then check your sound properties to see that the onboad audio is in fact showing up as the default output.

If none of this helps then the board may be at fault.

Also make sure onboard audio is enabled in the BIOS, it will be under Advanced>>Onboard Devices Configuration

Alright Tried all that. I suppose that the onbaord audio/my speakers are not working so I grabbed a audigy SE and went into bios and disbaled on board audio and uninstalled all the applications and installed thecreative drivers, now when I plug headphones in they work fine but the speakers still do not work at all. any ideas?
