my pc sometimes does not power up my monitor
here is what i have

p4 lga775
ati randeon 9800xt

i tied upgrating the bios but still i have the same problem....
can anyone help?

What Model\Brand monitor are you using?

What OS (and Service Pack)?

What version ATI Catalyst driver?


Have you tried booting the PC with the Monitor Power off (then power the monitor on)?
 
make sure you don't have any loose connections.What do you have for a power supply? If your video card isn't getting enough power that could certainly cause the problem..
