After a long weekend of testing, I'm looking at RMA'ing my Mobo but wanted to get some feedback before doing so.
The problem is that I can OC my E6400 to 3.2G with the both Memory sticks at 700-750 or 1 Stick at well over 900. I can also get the Memory to run good at 950 with the CPU at 2.13G. What I'd like to do is run the CPU at 3.2G and have the ram sync'd at 800. My long term plans (in the fall) are to upgrade to the Quad core so I don't want to start with a board that might have problems.
Since the Memory and CPU OC well on their own but not together, can I assume there's a problem with the Mobo? Or am I being to demanding?
I've run over 50 different tests/setups. The first screen shot shows the results of the most recent which I have more voltage data. The second shot shows my first test results pulled from chicken-scratch notes so they are not as complete. On the far right, it shows how many minutes each test was and what the results were... Freeze, Ok, etc... and the Torture Test run.
I bought my whole setup from Newegg and got an RMA number today... just haven't decided if I want to go through the trouble of taking it all apart and being without a PC for a week.
It's kind of frustrating to spend this kind of money on hardware that's supposed to OC well, and be stuck running slower.
Thanks for any feedback!
