Hello folks,

I just bough this new system yesterday.

- P5B-Deluxe
- Core 2 Duo 6300 (box)
- Point of view Geforce 7600GS
- 1GB Kingston 533 (kvr)

I assembled everything ok, connected my IDE hdd. Not connecting dvd/floppy. Cpu fan connected.
When I turn on power supply, the led will light up blue.
When I turn on power switch, the led will switch to blue/red the fans starts to spin and I get no video at all.
My case speaker is broken so I can't hear any beeps :(

I'm using a 20-pin power supply, and I'm connecting the 4-pin 12v also. The power supply is an Enermax 465w.

Here is the deal.

1) Tried booting with an pci graphic card and it also won't work , can I rule out the graphic card as the problem ?

2) Could the 20pin power supply be the problem ? By most reports I've seen here and around, this should be no problem with the power supply can support the load.

I'm kinda of lost as what should I do now, what could be the problem related to this ?
All help will be appreciated !

Thanks

Tad

It's pretty hard to trouble shoot when you don't even know if there are POST error beep codes being given by the motherboard. That's your starting place, not the video card. You could have bad memory, bad cpu (not likely), bad motherboard or any number of different things. You need to know if the board is even posting.

Also, check out mechBgon's site for building and trouble shooting. There are some things to try there.

My first P5B Deluxe did the same thing. I tried a different vid card, memory, and PSU. RMA'ed and the second board posted and died in a few minutes. I would do what the previous poster suggested and if no go, RMA. I hope you have better luck than I did.
