Yeah.

The higher 300s put way too much stress on the NBCC, as it's often basically a bit more than the 1066 strap can handle.

Now since you have an E6600, you can only go so high.

Therefore, try 8x401+

711 is on the ftp site ...installed and now running 8x425 (3.4 ghz)...had to up the vcore, fsb and northbridge voltage...running about 52C idle

thats good oc. i wouldnt go anymore fsb then if its 52c idle. what you can try now is lower your vcore bit by bit to see you can maintain 3.4 on a lower voltage and keep stable.
