I set the TCP/IP properties for the wireless adapter to be a static ip and static DNS. When I reboot, it sets itself back to DHCP and acquires an IP address in the DHCP pool.
I can manually reset it but I am puzzled why it keeps resetting itself back to DHCP. If I disable the DHCP client, when I reboot, it will just hang at acquiring network address.
Any ideas? I'm going to go google some more. TIA!
🙂
EDIT: also, I am using a WRT54GS with HyperWRT as the firmware. I have the DHCP pool set at .100 and am setting my static IP address at .10
