I have a ECS p4vmm2 v2 and it wont let me overclock it. Does anybody else have this problem? I has the option in the bios but it is locked. I looked in the book that it came with and there is no jumper setting for overclocking or anything like that.

Thanks

Are you talking about changing the multiplier? Because that you won't be able to do, since the cpu is locked.

(Can't really comment otherwise, as I've never used that board.)

You cannot. It is locked (via a blown fuse) on the silicon die itself.

The only way to overclock an Intel cpu is to raise the FSB.

ive had that board. well i had the version 1. all you can do is change fsb 400 to 533. it is not exactly an overclockers board.

the lock thing might work if you had a multiplier unlocked engineering sample cpu.
