P4S533 Setup Question

Given the mixed population of people out there with functional and non-functional P4S533 boards, I was wondering if someone would be willing to go through and describe how exactly they setup their board to get it working. Did you plug in all 3 of the power connectors? Did you test it out of the case first? Did you do anything that the manual didn't say? Do you recommend doing anything different to a person that has fried his motherboard?

I didnt change nothing on my board. I left all the defaults values that it had and I coneect the three power connectors and it worked just fine.

If you read about the problems that people had with their P4S533 one thing stands out: they have all been using the 3 power connectors. You should use the EZ-Plug ONLY if you don't have a P4 compatible motherboard. If not, leave it unplugged. You should only have two power connectors connected. If you use all three, it's at your own risks but I've warned you !

I have a p4s533, and I hooked up only the regular power connector for the mb and the aux12v special one. But I'm not problem free, as my onboard lan doesn't work. I think it's just a coincidence that the people with trouble used all three. I am guessing my problem stems from being rough with the board and I probably f'd something up.

At least it's just the lan though. I am perfectly happy using a nic. Not worth rma'ing the thing and having to install the whole damn system again.
