Anyone else have this problem with their P4PE? Man am I hacked! I have been humming along on my Asus P4PE @ 160fsb and mem set at 427. I have Corsair xms 3200 cas 2. Then yesterday I could not boot. SO I lowered the ram to 400 and it booted again. But I could not get through 3d mark. I had also ran Prime 95 for about 12 hours, and now it doe not even get through the first 2 minutes. I ran memtest with the ram at 400 and it failed immediately. SO I backed it up to 333 and went up from there. Best I could do was 375. At 390 I started getting multiple errors. I did not ever have the voltage on the ram over 2.7. And it has only run at that for about 2 days. Help me with this. I see an RMA coming!!!

The first thing they will tell you is..."you're overclocking memory way past the recommended spec at 427Mhz so you're lucky it works"

I'd say the memory is likely gone bad in some way. if you attempt to RMA DO NOT tell them you were overclocking. This goes without saying obviously

Scums! :( How are your PSU voltages reading, are they looking normal?

I got my RMA number today. My new Corsair xms 3200 cas 2 will be here tomorrow.

AS far as my voltages are concerned, here is what I have:
+3.3=3.31
+5=5.05
+12=11.49
-12=-12.01
-5=-5.04
vcore=1.68 (set at 1.575 in bios)

I have some old DDR (Crucial 2100) that I am gonna try and see if it makes it through the tests.

Thanks for your help,
PJ

start at DDR400 operation and work up. Always burn in the memory at that speed for a few hours before moving up. Doing this allowed me 421Mhz DDR with my Corsair XMS3200 course it was with a different board (Albatron PX845PEV Pro)

Well, like I sadi, my new stick will be here tomorrow. I will likely just run it at spec for a day or so to burn it in. Then I will bump it up. I am also putting together a Gigabyte system tomorrow using the new 667pe board. I will test the bad ram on that one as well just to make sure.
