Proc: P4 3.2
Mobo: P4C800E DLX, Rev 2.00 (seen on the mobo) but CPU-z says 1.xx
BIOS: 1016.001
ATI X800XT with cat 4.9
Audigy2
DX 9c
Antec 550W
2 HDD in SATA RAID 0, 2 others + DVD drive

NO OCing. All stock speeds.

My Hyperthreading is not working. Windows XP SP2 doesnt see 2 CPUs in the task manager. I was usinga MSI board a while back and that worked well. Since I changed to ASUS, I am not sure that HT worked ever. I noticed only recently. I have tried updating BIOS to 1017 and then back to 1016 (i am using mylogo feature too, and flashed using asus liveupdate 5.28.1), but no HT still.

It is enabled in the BIOS (under CPU config), but BIOS never shows 2 CPUs (not sure if it is supposed to).

I used the HT test utility from intel, and it passed my Processor and chipset, but fails the BIOS.

Can anybody help ?
Mobo is 5 months old.

Thanks a lot.

no 2 cpus, infact there is no option gor processor. I only see Computer > Standard PC.

I have tried replacing the HAL.dll in the system32 directory to the halmacpi.dll, but crashes windows.
