I am new to overclocking and was wondering if anyone had experience with Asus P4C800 Deluxe (or similar Asus boards') AI Overclocking Tuner feature. It allows for 5, 10, 20, and 30 percent overclocking, apparently changing timing settings automatically.

Is this a good way to overclock and is it safe and effective? Or will I be better off learning how to change all of the other settings by manually tweaking away?

Thanks.

My hardware:

2.8Ghz P4 800MHz FSB
1GB DDR 400 RAM
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB
330W Antec PSU

You don't have nearly enough of a power supply to be overclocking a 2.8C while powering a 9800 Pro and 1 gig of ram. If you're planning on getting over 2.9ghz, this is the best psu made today (for a reasonable amount of money, that is;)): link to Enermax 465 at newegg.

Thanks for the power supply tip. I have an Antec 430W PSU I can put in. Anyone have experiences they can share about Asus' AI Overclocking Tuner?

I would not use it. It sets your memory real low.
