Hi, this isn't a Overclocking question, but in my Device Manager theres a yellow exclaimation mark on PCI Universal Serial Bus, my usb is working fine though. I also have installed the INF driver from the MOBO CD, Any ideas to get rid of it?

I am currently running 1.6A @ 2.4 default voltage everything. Using Stock heatsink and fan with AS2, running prime 95 torture test for like 10 mins now at like 51 degrees, is this good?

P4B533
1.6A Malaysia
2 128 MB PC2100 @ 150FSB
Stock Heatsink n Fan w/ AS2
MSI Geforce 2 TI vivo
SB Live Value
Realtec 10mbit lan card

new question here
Anybody know if that Intel Application Accelerator works? and does it work good?

I have the same mobo... had the same problem. You need to d/l the usb 2.0 drivers. You can get them from intel's website ( also at microsoft's webiste.. i think ).

Yes i have a bunch of USB devices, Mouse, Keyboard, GameVoice, @migo, MS Sidewinder gamepad, Dazzle 6in1 mem card reader.

3 hours now with the Torture test max temp i see is 52. will push my pc2100 ram up more and see hehehe

My voltage is also bouncing between 1.488, 1.504 and 1.52. Is this normal? also saw it jumped to 1.552 at 1 time....
Hope this isn't a problem.

Yeah, this is normal for those mobos, mine does the same.

Hey, are you the same Su1c1da1 I was playing Rogue Spear with last night? With the stock HSF you should be able to safely up the vcore to 1.7v without causing any problems, so that voltage you're getting is fine.

You can disable the USB 2.0 in the bios, under the PCI Configuration, save you having to worry about drivers. Unless any of the devices are USB 2.0 compatable.

Crazy, I was playing in Zone, Tango Hunt. I think i'm the only Su1c1da1 with the 1s.. hehe...

Ok, so maybe I should push up the voltage on the ram too? to try to get it higher?

Yeah, you're the one, then! You, me and cartman were talking about P4 overclocking between games. I think Slammer was hosting.

The Intel Application Accelerator drivers are a set of IDE drivers for use with i8xx chipsets.

The largest gains are seen under Win2K, with over 10% increase in performance, as well as significantly reducing Win2K OS load times. The gains are not quite so big under WinXP, where Microsoft's drivers are quite aggressively written.

I do not recommend installing the IAA drivers under Win9x.

Under certain situations, you may experience problems with CDRWs and possibly ripping CDs. In such cases, simply uninstall the driver. These problems occur much less frequently in the newer versions of the IAAs.

im running a P4B533 w/ Win98se (might make a diff) but i must use the IAA or i experience HD problems. (lockups/hangs during mass data move or delete) no problems at all now that i use it.

:)

<EDIT> i did not have to use it on my P4B266-C but used it anyways - it gave slightly better performance.

As for the IAA, it didn't make any difference with my P4B533-E and WinXP with regards to stability. I never tested to see if it made a difference in performance, and I've only had my board for a couple weeks so I don't know if that's long enough to check it out. But so far, IAA being installed or not hasn't affected my system stability. HTH :)
