P4b266-c won't boot... GRRRRRRRRRRRR

Have you got one of the molex connectors plugged into the board? If I remember correctly the AGP bus and several other devices (processor and something else) need the extra current from that connector. If you've got a different stick of DDR, plug that in too. See if it will post with just processor and ram, nothing else.

I have an Enermax 330 watt w/ the P4 connector so I should be ok, damn I guess I'l try seating the ram again, or swiping the stick from my 1,4 T-bird ans see what that does.

did you double check your manual to make sure the DIMM's are populating the banks correctly? also are you absolutely positive you have the standoffs installed right, and one isn't accidentally touching the board shorting it out?

OK, I've tried setting the FSB with jumpers (yes I set it for jumper mode), I've tried using the other dimm slot, using the DDR from my other system (which I know works) taking everything out but the vid card and memory, I've checked to make sure that I didn't have a rogue stand off causing trouble, I've cleared the cmos, everything I can think of, OH and I never got to a point of changing the FSB, it was running at 100 the whole time, and I've had no USB devices plugged in.

The one thing I didn't say in my first post was that the one time I got into the bios was after I got a checksum error and the bios was set to default.

Other that that, all I can get is the slowly flashing vid card info check, it runs, then fades out, then runs again, I think the board must be bad.
