p4b266 - 3:4 ratio beyond 133fsb?

Nope, nor is Asus tech support even aware of the issue according to a conversation that I had with a 12yr old Asus tech support guy yesterday. He said that's the kind of thing that might get fixed in a BIOS update (duh) and to look a the German Asus site because they get new stuff first. I couldn't find ANY files for the P4B266 on the German site when I poked around yesterday. Don't hold your breath

thx for the replies guys.

why do all these moboard manufacturers have their heads up their butts?
its almost as if they are fackin with the P4 boards on purpose.

more of something would be nice Duvie 😉

the Asus SiS645 has a AGP & memory latecy issue when using the 4:5 ratio above 137fsb -
so im kinda stuck here til they release the 3:4 ratio. (if ever)

i like how all of a sudden all the moboard makers are playing dumb to us overclockers 🙁

Screw 3:4 memory ratio above 133 MHz (which is above DDR2700 speed) how about giving us a 4:5 ratio like our SiS bretheren! That would be the best, getting 166 MHz (DDR2700) speeds @ 133 MHz FSB.

jiffylube1024 - i say all the boards should have both the 3:4 and 4:5 ratios beyond 133fsb! 😉

theyre gonna sucker us into getting the 533 moboards arent they? :disgust:

3:4 is better than 4:5 for the PC2700 I think. At 4:5 you're right at 166 which is right at the rated speed. At 3:4, you're right at 177 which should be achievable for the PC2700. A PC2400 can do 166 easy. It would be nice to have that 3:4 ratio functional above the 133 FSB. Even nicer to have both 3:4 and 4:5 ratio, more choices to see which speed your RAM is more comfortable at.
