P41.6A Ghz, overclocking it... Asus P4B533.. Cooling issues..

Ok.. Just got some new components for my new system:

: Asus P4B533 Mobo
: P41.6A GHz
: ATI 8500DV Radeon 64mb DDR
: Crucial 512 DDR Pc2100
: WD 120GIG SE 8mb Cache
: Pioneer 16x 106/s DVD Player
: Lite-On 32x CD-RW
: Turtle Beach Santa Cruz

Thing is, i have no clue on what to do for Overclocking it.. I'm a noob in this area. Anyone have recommendations on a new cooling fan? Volcano 7? Thermaltake? I plan on OC it to 2.2ghz~ 2.4ghz... I also plan on leaving on my computer for extended periods of times (about 5 days, weekends i go home from college)... Should i OC it to a different speed to accomodate the length that my computer is turned on? Or should i just change the CPU Fan?

Please help me out. Thank you.
 
If you got the retail 1.6A then the stock fan should be just fine. How long you leave your computer on shouldn't affect what fan you use. That RAM's gonna hold you back if you got a good chip. Overclocking is pretty simple. I'm assuming that you've already installed your chipset drivers and IAA (Intel Application Accellerator). Just go into the BIOS and start increasing the FSB speed. I'd start with something like 120 or 133, then run Prime95 for an hour or two to see if its stable, keep your memory ratio at 1:1 for now. If it is (it should be unless you got a "dud"), then keep increasing the FSB (say 5MHz at a time) and running Prime95 for an hour after each bump until your computer fails Prime95. When your computer fails Prime95, either bump the FSB back down 5MHz (the last stable OC point) and keep everything at default voltage, or bump the voltage a notch and keep going. Don't take the vcore past about 1.6v (especially on an Asus board, which tend to overvolt to begin with). You will probably also need to bump your vdimm (memory voltage) as well, but don't take it past about 2.65-2.7. Once you've reached your final OC point, run Prime95 for about 12 hours to ensure absolute stability. THEN you can think about OC'ing your graphics card.
 
What they said! (stock fan works perfectly w/ mine also) - nice and quiet 3000rpm fan!

I also using PC2100 RAM, and chances are you are NOT going to make it into 2.4 or higher.

I have test following PC2100 RAM
Crucial micron (top out at 142Mhz)
Samsung (top out at 144 mhz)
Nanya (top out at 145mhz)

I have my Samsung PC2100@140@2.6V to stablize my system @2.24ghz/1.6V w/ Antec Silver paste running full load at @47C w/out extra case fan!
