I am a small computer assembler. I offer my customers a PPR. What is that your ask? I don't compare processors by Mhz. I compare them by price. Pricewatch shows a P3 1Ghz at $287 and a T-Bird at 1 Ghz at $175. If you give me an additional $112 to put toward components in the system I can make it blow away any hard drive, video card etc that you could buy in your price range on the pentium. PPR for the P4? I can give you a raid array, DVDRam and change. SSE-2? by the time software support is out your P4 1.5 Ghz is going to be a dog. If you want a price is no object system you get the P4. Why? For the computer stupid it is a big deal. Hey, it may even help you get laid.
