Don't do it! Let someone else get those AMD parts, that they might live and prosper!

This place doesnt carry many items but I have gotten some great deals out of them. Especially cheap Mobo's from major manufacturers like ASUS, SOYO, Gigabyte. Etc.

Package 2 You.

You might also want to check NewEgg but look at the refurbished section.

www.compgeeks.com
Use a Master Card and in the Coupon code section during checkout "MCEXCLUSIVES" to get 10% off.

Make sure the motherboard is your problem I had problems with power supplies with USB devices that killed the power supply.

Justdeals.com has 133a boards all the time. They had an MSI for $20, these are new not refurbished stuff. RRR

Package 2 you is all new stuff as well. Havent seen refurbs on their site in a long time.

JustDeals is nice but they rape you on shipping 12.95 + 3.95 for anything else you add. I thought they were bad when it was 8.95+ but with the 12.95 I dont even bother with their site any more. Plus how many motherboards they advertise that arent even in stock.

ok i just had a look at anandtech's review of this board and it looked good so i bought it

geez cost nearly as much for shipping and tax

came to a total of 34.50 which ain't bad tho for a board that is better than my now broken kt133 board

thanks everyone

If that one doesn't work out for some reason... I've had good experience with old Shuttle boards... plug the stuff in and they work. Also had a Biostar M7VKB for my 1.2 Ghz Athlon that was VERY nice.

What year was that review from? Man, you spent $35 for a KT133 mobo?
I gotta laugh here. I got NF Ultra mobo by Chaintech with a set of round cables, CBox2 and ear phones all together for a meager $39. This board beats 8RDA+. Only $5 more than you for outdated SDR mobo. Jesus.

yeah it's a kt133a
and i got it because i had 512mb 256mb and 128mb sticks of pc133 laying around that i didn't want to waste
it's replacing an old kt133 board so i'll get 33% more mem bandwidth
i'm happy

the performance of even these old athlon chipsets isn't bad

The trouble was getting all your hardware to work (to which end VIA got it together with the KT266A), and now the situation where a nice mobo (not full-featured, but great performance) can be had for $60.
My mom still uses an Athlon 700 slotA...the case feels hot to the touch all the time (in a corner, stuff stacked on top, no exhaust fan)...but going on three years and no problems (it even ran w/o the heatsink on it for about two weeks! I wondered what the noise was...was the HSF fans spinning, swinging the HS by the fan wires).
The moral: good parts are always good parts...just that better parts are always around when you want them :).
