Another clarification, I want to make sure that the fan you speak of is the normal fan and not some huge room fan you have taped to the case.

First I am not starting any flame war, it is just that it is hard to believe and I am not doubting your accuracy, just it is a little strange.
Maybe its me, but I still dont understand WHAT you find hard to believe. Do you mean hard to beleive that he can cool his system with such low airflow, or hard to believe he can tell the difference between a system of his low noise level as compared to a typical "noisy" system? Not flaming either, just wanted clarification. ;)

Its your fan thats dead silent not your P4. I have a XP2100 @ 2.38GHZ with an SLK800 and 80MM Fan, if I use a NMB fan my setup would be completely quiet also.

Obviously, my mistake!!!!
I know CPU will not make any noise.
I was only trying to state that we can have really quiet P4 system @ OC speed w/o buying extra HSF.
Indirectly, I am trying to tell fellow ATers that if you have P4 setup, don't spend money on extra HSF just because you want to OC.

Pah. The gentle hum of my eight case fans lulls me off to sleep. Also helps white-noise out the traffic, construction, and those damn birds.

You forget - quiet is only worth it when you have a quiet environment to start with. :p

Add me to the soft hum is soothing crew :)

Will do :D
