iv got my 3.0 running at 3.5 on air cooling. my voltage is at 1.55. how much higher should i try and take this? is there a line not to cross on the voltage?
my motherboard is the abit ic7-g.

Most people say not to go above 1.7V. According to this document from Intel, it looks to me like the failure voltage for the processor is 1.75V. Personally, I wouldn't operate it regularly above 1.65V.
FYI, according to Overclockers.com the average overclock for a 3.0C is 3557, with 3500 being the highest reported speed using stock cooling. All entries in thier database use 1.75V or below, with only one actually using 1.75V (in conjunction with Prometia cooling).
Need to be careful going up beyond 1.7 though even with a prometria as voltage breakdown will occur regardless of temperature and then its out CPU shopping again...
