Well, on a side note...

I'm a dev myself, and I am "still" using a 1ghz P3 with 512 PC133.

Oh the joys of working for a CHEAP company.

There is nothing in site for me in getting anything better/faster...

*sigh*

Power Builder takes 15 minutes to comile an .exe. LMAO!!!! Uhmmm... coffee break anyone? 😀

Ouch! 🙁 You should make a picket sign and go on strike 😀

Jesh, untill about 2 weeks ago, I was using a 733 P3 with 256 meg ram to do Java and Oracle sql development. But they pay me good to wait around ($80k/year) so I don't complain.

Yes, I'm a techie. As long as the PC works, I don't care if it's SD/DDR. Don't have time to bother. But since now we've some say in this, I can have some time to stick my feet into things 😛

Dude, at least you've the ability to CHOOSE what you want for your rig. Darn those corp deals 😛

Another vote to ask for a change in supplier, or to ask your supplier for AMD boxes. The HP n325 is a much better solution.

How ironic!

Yesterday I got a new computer! 2.8P4/800fsb/512pc3200.

Woot!

I REALLY didn't even say anything to them about it either. Honest!

Talk about weird!

😀
