<< Ditto. BTW people are going to ride you for asking this because of so many hostile flame wars begin this way. But seeing as your new I we can let it go and save you all the reading some of us bother to do. >>

People really shouldn't harbor brand loyalties...

Next time use the Search feature for your questions before you ask. You know this website does publish benchmarks and processor reviews right?

<< MODS, PLEASE LOCK THIS PIECE OF CRAP UP. >>

haha, yeah, i've seen this 999999999999 times... every time it's a freaking flame war.... dude, just buy what you like! read some damn reviews!
everyone in here has a different opinion for a different reason!!!

<< but a glitch here, a glitch there make you think of going Intel... Go Intel if U can afford! >>

that's a load.. either platform can be 100% rock.. i have experienced less problems with VIA chipsets than Intel. I've said that a million times, Via chipsets are kick arse ! my KT133A's are rock stable !!

Its not the platform, its not the chip :disgust:

I have built both, if you have problems it is YOU who is at fault

please see the "Intel is Evil" thread and then take your mommys Packard Bell and dip it in goats blood and duck tape a cat to it and toss it in your nearest lake/river/sewage treatment facility...

THEN...

since you dont have a computer anymore... maybe you can take some time out to read up on things instead of coming to this website and using no effort at all to juice some easy answer out of us... knowledge is power... unless youre a dumbass...

take some time and read up on your decision... truth is.. it really doesnt matter.. as long as you have a quality motherboard and ram and periphals to back it up.. processor is really insignificant... but AMD does r0x0rz the crap out of Intel if you really want to get down to it... 😀

Would you ask your mom which car you should buy?

would you let your sister tell you how to drive?

MY POINT:

research is your best bet, dont let others spend your money for you .
decide your wants and desires then look for solutions ,

THEN come back and check your products against known problems etc...

THIS is THE BEST WAY

The day mods begin locking threads because they might erupt into flamewars is the day I consider the internet lost forever! This is a valid thread posing a valid question and there are people here willing to provide an answer instead of a flame.

....on a related note, Pres. George Dubyah Bush has declared inflammatory threads as terrorist acts. "The consistenty of Inteceleron and Amders flames is counter-productive and such threads are known to harbourate terrorist elements."

😀

Lock me please! 🙂

I think this has already been summed up but amds have better performance per dollar. Reliability on the other hand... In a server - Intel, At home - AMD. 🙂
