This is going to be a 30 computer assimilation and it is at work. I need the nicest client in existance which is the dnet one and I need to know if p4's are better at ogr or rc5.

This P4 sucks at RC5 basically. Average 1.8 M/keys. Our Celeron 566 does 1.58.

Maybe if someone knows, the teamanandtech speed page could be updated to include P4s. There seem to have been several P4 speed questions lately.
Anyone using/has access to a P4 yet??

elfenix, don't make me point out the many problems seti has, I have run it, and will probably run it again, but I can not do it on a work related herd such as this assimilation, I know the dnet client plays nicely, does not use much resources, and is damn near seamless.

HomerSapien nailed it, I know the P4 is lousy in comparison to other cpus, but I need to know which it is better at ogr, or rc5?

After checking the d.net speeds, and averaging the values it looks like the P4 gets 1.35 kkey/s/mhz and 3.80 knodes/s/mhz. This would put it better at OGR than RC5, though it still sucks at both ;)

For comparison, a 1.5 ghz P4 would equal a 700 mhz tbird at OGR or a 600 mhz tbird at RC5.

edit: I think it makes sense now

Look on the bright side of this, it is still a 30 machine assimilation-nice work PF :)
