Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's my system: p4 1.6a @ 2133, Abit TH7 II Raid w/39c BIOS, 512 MB RDRAM consisting of 4 sticks of 128MB, 8 device Samsung. I've been running @ 2133 (memory @ 4X) for about 2 months perfectly stable. Vcore has been @ 1.575. I'm having problems with XP system files getting corrupted. The first one was hal.dll, then it was \system32\config\system, and other system32 files. This problem surfaced after I installed 2 more sticks of RDRAM (128 MB, 8 device, Samsung). Of course I suspected the memory, so I used a couple different programs to test the memory (tests ran for 8 hrs); memory was fine according to the tests. Then I took the new memory out thinking that I could rule out the memory. Memory was ruled out as I still had corruptions. The next suspect was the hard drive (brand new WD1200JB). I ran diagnostics available from Western Digital; drive checked out fine. I thought that maybe the Highpoint controller might be a problem, so I tried using just the standard IDE controller; didn't make any difference. Finally I decided to turn the processor back down. So far this has worked. I had to go back to stock speed and as you can imagine, I'm very unhappy with this "solution". Any suggestions? BTW, system temps are normal.
