P4 Northwood Identification??

Is there any way to tell, by physically looking at the chip, that it is a Northwood?? You know like a serial number, suffix or prefix? Is there a 2.0 Ghz Northwood out?

yes there is a 2ghz northwood. the ID should be engraved in the heat spreader on the chip. should say 2.0A... plus it tells you the cache size, which is 512K.

both of these items should be engraved.

Just yesterday I installed a retail P4 2Gig Northwood. On the top of the chip (the part that transfers heat to the heasink) it had both 2A and 512 ingraved on it. Both are indications of a Northwood chip.
