P4 mobo: overkilled topic

1. If I were to get a P4 mobo today, under... $150 and wanted to overclock....

what would you recommend?

2. or would it be best to wait for the Sis 655 chipset boards to be released? I hear they are pretty cheap (compared to the GB's) and do fairly well...

i couldnt recommend waiting for SiS655 since ive never had one ;)
but its price maybe worth waiting for if you dont mind "beta testing" a new chipset.

i only say that because the p4b533 has been a proven performer again and again, and can support 800fsb.

I agree...Thugs and I both pretty much beta tested the sis645 chipset and found its limitations and quirks and ran fast and far away from them...

I think his advice works well with any chipset...IE I am going to wait a bit after springdale chipset until enough ppl around these parts get them and find the bugs and the compatability issues out....BETA testing is a great call on often what it is...

i think newegg has like 2 or 3 listed? or is it all a matter of taste and what options i want?
