Ok I have seen reference to P4 2.XC. What does the C mean and how do you know if the processor has it??

Thanks.

800 FSB P4 CPU.

2.Xa = 400FSB, 2.Xb = 533FSB, 2.XC = 800FSB (and all 800 FSB CPUs have Hyperthreading enabled)

Well first off it is stated on the box as well as on the IHS of the chip....Also a 3.0ghz p4 can only be a 800mhz fsb chip since no factor of Multiplier with a 533fsb can equal that number....

It will usually be stated by online retailers as a p4c versus the 533fsb chips of the p4b's and the 400mhz fsb chips as the p4a's....Be careful you don't get confused in the forsale forums with ppl listed c1 stepping chips as that is not the same....The p4c chips I believe are currently D0 stepping....stepping is not relative to model numbers....p4b chips had B0 stepping and C1 stepping, and maybe some D0 stepping (but I can't confirm this)...
