The CPU-Cool 478 from PC Power & Cooling seems to be an OEM sunflower cooler.
Here's the link.

PC Power & Cooling sells it direct for $19 shipped

the first picture is what a AVC sunflower looks like exactly cause thats what i have.

for 19.00 it is a good deal i think i paid 40 something shipped for mine.

now if only i could find a fan guard to fit it

I have a hard time believing you can go wrong with PC Power and Cooling anyway though.

Just a warning...the Sunflower produces noticeably more noise than the stock Intel heatsink. If this is the real Sunflower, it would allow you to cool a bit better though...and perhaps clock your P4 a bit higher.

Just to let you know, this is a AVC Sunflower. I ordered two from them about a week ago. Got it in a few days (I'm live in the same city, actually right down the street). Copper core and says AVC on the fan.

<< how much better is this than the retail HSF that come with the 1.6a? >>

From my calculations, about $19 better. 😀

<< hows the rating for this site >>

PC Power and Cooling is an EXCELLENT company! They make the best power supplies, but man they are expensive! :Q

Got mine and it sure looks like an AVC Sunflower to me. Came in a generic box but there is an AVC logo sticker on the top of it.

So how much cooler are you guys getting from the stock HSF from Intel? Looks like I may have to order one of these for my setup that I plan to build.
