P4 and Seti?

I think it's great that Anand included RC5 benchmarks with his P4 review and the plug for the team was fantastic!!😀

However has anyone seen any seti benchmarks for the P4 on any of the other review sites? If not does anyone here think they might be able to get Anand to run a few wu's to see how the P4 performs?🙂

well since Seti requires more memory bandwith than RC5 does, and the fact that the P4 has some really huge memory bandwith, the P4 looks as though it can kick some major but in Seti

I e-mailed Mike Andrawes twice about getting TA SETI a plug on the main page (since he did the RC5 plug), but he never replied.

Well then, the P4 performs about as well as my t-bird 900. (3~4hr WU times) Most of the WU's (on the TB-900) completed in the 3:30 range.

Am I reading this wrong or are there 1,700,836 SETI@Home users who've downloaded but never completed a WU? If that's the case then why don't the SETI people just dump them from the database after x number of months without turning in a single WU?

Rob

Robor, I've wondered that myself, but think of what that would do to their stats (number of participants)
I think that a purge like that could help clear up some of their database to.

Robor, the number you stated is the number who have completed a wu. 801274 is the number who have never turned in a wu.
