P4 and Hyper Threading?

I have read that officially the P4 3GHz CPU supports HT technology. Also read that previous P4 have this but it's disabled. Is there a way to unofficially enable it? And which P4's are these disabled HT CPU's? Are they all the Northwood's (2.26GHz and up?) or all the 533MHz Northwood's? Anyone have any links on this?
Thanks...

To be succinct, no it can't be enabled, thus links would be irrelevant IMHO 🙂

Yup. It's physically cut off from the rest of the core.

I have heard that Intel will release HT enabled CPU's as slow as 2.4GHz. Is this true, and does anyone know when this will happen? Peace.
