P4 660 EM64T 2MB Benched

That second page is total system current drain with a PFC correction and not temperature.

I realise that temps often go hand in hand with current drain but remember also that this chip has 2MB cache so has a lot more transisters than the 560.

Either way I'm sure that it will be nice and toasty.

Oh great just what we need an even hotter running chip come on Intel get those temps down. And they do look like they could be a little more competitive in games now but probably won't be worth the price they will be selling them for.

There's still a good point here. The things will start moving in 64bit direction, from now on. AMD alone, wouldn't have the power to manage a 32/64 bit migration for users.

I think the gains in 3DMark due to the larger L2 explain the Pentium M's strength in games.
5-10% is definitely significant, especially in benchmarks where every FPS counts.

AMD havnt really got anything to counter, Im pretty impressed by the 6 series, there wont be much of a gap anymore in games I suspect.
