Hi guys, I recently got a p4 2.8ghz/400fsb chip from a friend but every motherboard I've looked at only lists support for up to 2.6ghz for p4's with 400 fsb. Can anyone recommend a board for this chip? Thanks

The max cpu for 400 fsb was 2.6. I'll bet you've got either a 533 or 800 cpu. In any case, I would recommend the abit is7.

I've heard wonderful things about Abit IC7-G MaxII boards. Lots of reviews floating around on the internet about it.

Asus P4C800-E is a great stable board but a little pricey, one of the best. The P4P800 is great lower priced board.

is there such? i think that's 800 fsb the one with hyperthreading on it... check your processor if its 2.8E... then it should be 800 fsb
