Me among them.

OMG, WTF!!!???Then , the craziest thing ever happened. Steve and Kyle personally came into the forums, deleting, locking threads and banning anyone who mentioned it or had critisism to the numbers. They publicly claimed the pic was never changed, anyone who said so was a liar. A lot of ppl have been banned already, but apparently they are covering up the cover-up by not putting "banned" under the names. I'm banned by IP along with plenty of others. I had 3000 posts there all of them helpful or honest. We got banned for telling the truth.

Ok the real question now is, does the C steppign 1.8's - 2.0's 2.4's etc come with HT?
Just think
Granite bay.
1.8 P4 with HT (c stepping)
running @ 3.2 air cooled
and dual channel DDR = hot damn
If you read to the end of the review it says that all "B" versions of Northwood chips have hyperthreading and you just have to enable it in the BIOS... ( and get a BIOS update ). Well, maybe I read that somewhere else, but that's your answer...

However, what shocks me is the banning of forum members (again some of them higher ups at HOCP), and so many of them too. I hope Anand never stoops so low (I'm more then confident Anand or staff would never).

On thing that really distinguishes this site from others is it's INTEGRITY. Just recently, Anand demonstrated it again by pulling the TigerDirect ads (that cost him money to cancel them) when the membership complained. Some of the complaints even bordered on allegations that were unpleasant. As long as Anand is in charge, we never have to worry about this.![]()
That's why I'll be re subscribing in approximately 15days!Originally posted by: Evan Lieb

You guys were the sole reason we pulled the TigerDirect ads from the forums. So don't be afraid to speak out, by all means go ahead and voice your opinions. If you have similar gripes with something else on the forums, just start a thread and tell us about it.![]()
On what evidence do you base this comment on? I use a Celeron P4 at work and I use Access every day and it works just fine. I also upgrade my machine every few months and the P4 is faster than the 1.3 GHz Celeron system I had last time.I want to know how it works in database sorting and querying in non-optimized systems. Stock P4's seem to really suck at these tasks.

Hyper-threading is certainly exciting technology and it seems to boost performance pretty much across the board, especially when multitasking.

Then either there's a problem with your servers or there are bottlenecks elsewhere that you're unaware of. Nobody in their right mind could possibly believe that a P133 MHz system matches a 1.6 GHz P4 in performance for anything. That is just ludicrous.I base it on the performance of pulling 300-500MB off Teradata servers and then manipulating the data with a series of macros and a pair of VB scripts for an hour. A Pentium133 could match it in performance for this task.
