i have 2*512 kingston hyperx pc4000 ram at 2.65V running default timings 3-4-4-8
i have 3.0c at 1.6V
i have coolermaster aero copper version
agp/pci locked at 66/33
i have asus P4C800-E Deluxe (intel 875p chipset)
im running the FSB at 220 right now and i get prime95 problem after 4-5 hours
i tried 230fsb and prime95 problems in 2-3 minutes
(between 220-230 crash between 2minutes - 4 hours lol)

case temp is roughly 27-30C
cpu temp is about 24-25 idle.. dunno about under stress

am i doing something wrong? how come the overclocking is so horrible?

any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks

use the Asus Probe to check the CPU temp. Use Sandra and do a Burn in to check your temps under full load. You may try to up the Vcore to 1.65. I know there is a 30 cap 3.0 that over clocks really well, but you may have hit the limits of that chip, at least on air. You may also want to bump up the VDimm 2.85 that seems low at 2.65. Most pc400 ram is warranted at that voltage.

i tried bumping ddr voltage to 2.75/2.85 dosnt seem to make much difference, 3.0 at 3.3 and not perfectly stable is a really bad overclock isnt it? i thought the p4c chips were better than that

My P4 3.0 will do 3.4 on stock voltage before my memory maxes out (PC3500). That's at 1:1. I don't do dividers, so I don't really know what else it can do.
