P4 2.6C

Geil PC4000 1GB is only like $160.

Corsair PC3200 1GB is $190.

Unless I'm missing something, which one should I get? I have a P4 2.6C which I've seen go to about 3.2ghz pretty stable, haven't crashed on me yet. What RAM should I get?

Unless the Corsair is using TCCD samsung chips, I'd get the Geil Ram. It is guaranteed to run at 250mhz and you need 246FSB to reach 3.2ghz.

What are the timings for that ram at PC4000? You could save some $$ and pick up some value ram for $100 for 1 gig and then run a 5:4 divider. The performance difference should be minimal.

I believe the Geil is CAS2.5 and the Corsair was CAS3.... so I'm further confused by this massive price difference. Yea, 246FSB would be perfect in my case so I'm definitely going to pick this one up (I'll look into the valueram).

Im using 512mb Geil pc4000 with my 2.6c, and am currently @ 3.32 1.6v 255fsb Abit IS7.
1:1 Good stuff.

With an intel chip its faster at higher Mhz, where as the athlons prefer tighter timings, so get the Geil in my opnion.
