I have a feeling what you have is a B0 with a new sSpec code.... The odd thing is you say it came in a
retail box which if it was purchased by Wintec Industries that would make it an OEM over a boxed
Retail unit.... Its clear from what CrazySaint found on Intel's site they plan on selling the SL6EV through
Reseller/Solution

i too just got a 2.53 and it's a SL6EV,
pack date 08/28/02,
MM# 848888,
FPO/BATCH# Q230A680,
VERSION# A99825-001.

i've got a p4b533-e with a stick of 512 2700 samsung original and it boots up fine at 150fsb, vcore is at default, memory is at 2.7 (2.6 default). i'm running prime too and it seems okay.

how do i know when to up the fsb? i hope duvie's got it right with the "if you can hit 150 at default voltage, you should be able to hit 3ghz." ;)

Run Prime95 for an hour, if its stable, increase the FSB by about 5MHz. Rinse, repeat.

i couldn't wait so i jumped up to 158fsb. now i'm back to the increment fsb by 2 until it hangs, then up vcore by 1 notch. :frown:

this is such a long process.
