I am interested in getting the 2.4C and OC-ing it to 3.0 or 3.2. I'm not sure which would be the best motherboard to get so that i would have a stable system. I am looking to spend 130 or less and I was planning on buying OCZ memory. I was thinking of the ABIT IC7-G MAXII but does anyone have other suggestions?

I use an msi 865pe neo2 LS, which is about $80 on pricewatch. It overclocks my 2.8c up to 3.64, which isn't bad. It's discontinued now, but has bios upgrades for prescott support. The most recommended board I've seen is the abit is7, but I have no experience with it.

I used an IC7G-Max II to o/c a 2.4C to 3.1. There are a lot of posts here pertaining to the IC7 and setting same up for o/c'ing (I know--I used them to help with my setup!)

The only physical problem I had with the board was the NB fan failed. I replaced it with an aftermarket HSF.
