Sweet. 3.1 @ default Vcore. That is just sick. Gotta get off my duff and find me a nice C1. Like Duvie, I'm afraid I'll get a B0. I've always had just "ok" chips. This time I want a nice one. Maybe next week I'll take the plunge.

Where are you getting the C1 chips from? I have a 1.6a that just yesterday blew its L1 cache.. IF i disable the L1, the computer works fine (but dog slow), but after I renable the L1 in the bios, my computer reboots randomly...

ITs on an asus p4b533e board also with corsair pc3200.

At any rate, I need a new cpu badly while I RMA this one. Where can I get a guaranteed 2 ghz c1?

Outstanding Thugs as usual

I still can't figure where those unbuffered scores are coming from

I have mine at 178fsb timing 2-2-2-6 1T
and still only get 2085 / 2106

Amazing - You are the main man. 😀

Wow! 3.2GHz, a nice 60% overclock. Impressive thugs.

With the C1's you run out of gas quick after default voltage.Nice to see you got it up to 3.1GHZ before having to apply voltage.

c'mon, man, is that all you got😛😀?? heh, nice job (like jhites said, "as usual"), can't wait to see you find a way to push her higher. . .waiting for the burn in😉😛?

na thats all shes got.
had to push the vcore upto 1.7v actual (as far as ill go) just to get the benchmarks.

still ~ a very nice chip

the overclock itself was a real no brainer ~ didnt need to drop cas, raise vdimm, or raise vagp thruout the entire run.
the 2.0A may be a better chip for the "less experienced" overclockers out there that would rather avoid that sort of needed tweaking.

😀

Yeah but the radeon 9700pro will shine when it comes to the AA and all that stuff jacked up in high res...basically eye candy the Radeon pro 9700 will deliver...

You don't need to waste your money on that stuff!!! You still have a few more cpu to buy to say you have tested them all!!!😉

alright guys ~ dont start this "get on ROOK about the vid card" deal again 😛

ill be getting a new NV ~ whenever they happen

😉 🙂 😀

Nvidia is losing a lot of their support.I just found out MSI jumped ship to ATI's camp amd heard Visiontek (I thought they were done) is over at ATI also..LOL.Just going by what my cousin said.He sent me a link but I didn't bother reading it..LOL .Maybe he's full of crapola, hehe.

yea weve seen companies jump ship before ~ following the "what have you done lately?" rule 😉

if nVida doesnt bounce back with their next offering, they will have serious problems.

just my 2 cents 🙂

Soon as I seen you overclocking your new 2.0A you got me all pumped up.I ripped my mobo apart and did the VDD mod to it..lol.Up and running at 200FSB right now 9.5 Multiplier on my 2100+ Tbred and 8RDA+.I have the IT7 Max2 V2 and just waiting to pull the trigger on a 2.4B-253 or whatever.I'll go give it another 5 FSB right now. 😉

definitely go with the lower multiplier lastride...that abit baord can handle from all accounts I have seen very high fsb levels....

I made it at 205 FSB 1.80V .The 8RDA+ is a really weird board.I couldn't hit 200FSB earlier.I had to take it slow and tinker around a little, give it a couple taps with the hammer..LOL,just kidding. If you go to high on the FSB right off the bat,it don't like that. You have to baby its way up a few at a time. Its really strange the way it reacts. Also certain multipliers seem to work better than others.I tried 8 earlier and no go.It might do it now.

I'm in at 210 FSB.It likes that 9.5 Multiplier. The 8RDA+ are very inconsistant mobo's.One runs like a charm while another is crap.

a lot of the more recent moboards (both intel and amd) have had flakey bioses lately...

many times in the last year have i seen something like ~ 166fsb isnt stable, but 167fsb is :Q ~ and stuff like that ~ go figure
rolleye.gif

Its funny you mention that Thugs.I noticed in my bios the FSB sometimes skips a number like 175FSB to 177FSB.I seen that happen in a couple different spots.Sometimes its there and sometimes it isn't.Quality control on mobo's last year or 2 is not to good. They are just firing them out the door.:disgust: .I guess i'll go give it another 5.😉

not a bad idea, THUGS, but make sure you back off of the AGP 8X at higher fsb's; fixed my stability problems by doing that😉
