I upped the FSB to 133 amd its fine and idles around 39. I'm using stock hsf. Its in a cheiftec case with 4 80mm fans. What might be some other things to try in terms of memory settings etc. How high should i go with voltage? I'm new to all of this so any help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have not already, flash your BIOS to the modded it7_av version. :
-increased options for ddr voltage.
-increased pci dividers
-overclockers.com screen mesage
-overclockers epa logo
-changed boot screen font color
-increased agp options

changed defaults:
-agp apature is at 128 instead of 64
-enhanced dram is enabled
-third boot divice is cdrom
-ddr voltage is 2.6 instead of 2.5
-ps/2 mouse sopport is disabled

Set the DRAM Ratio H/W strap' to "Low". Then select the 3:4 DRAM Ratio, and lock your PCI bus at 37 MHz. I would start out with the memory timings at CAS 2-7-3-3. Start with the FSB @ 133, check for stability, reboot, and continue bumping it up a couple of notches at a time until you hit your maximum OC. You probably will need to increase your CPU and DDR voltage some along the way, and possibly set the RAM to CAS 2.5.

If you are really wanting maximum performance, I suggest a better than stock HSF.

I ran my 1.8A / IT7 @ 3 GHz /1.79V / watercooled (P4 voltage modded with conductive paint on the base of the pins) until I received a stick of Corsair XMS 3500 yesterday. I am now @ 2950 MHz / 1.74V / CAS 2-7-2-2 :)
