Where are you getting the temps read from? My P4 2.0 says like 46 to 47c as soon as I turn it on, but the bios says its only like 28c. Also if I open Sisandra and check it their it says 28c.

Good question.. Where are you getting those temps from? If they are true, I would make sure your heatsink is properly attached and if it is, get a new one!

Some motherboards don't correctly report processor temperatures.

For others, in the future, when quoting temps, be sure to indicate the motherboard. Some mainboard software doesn't report correct temperatures either.

Thanks for the answers to far.

1) Im using the Asus P4S333 Mobo, with the SIS chipset.
2) Im using Motherboard Monitor to see the temp of the CPU.

Does anyone else have this chipset? and is getting more accurate readings?

Cheers

That is way high. Running my 1.8a at 2.4 using 1.65V gives me an idle temp of 33 deg (using MBM5), under load I only hit 40 deg. Stock cooling should run only a little higher than my numbers, definately NOT that much higher.
