1.6A@2.13 Mhz

My Abit IT7 Max will not boot at anything above 133 Mhz FSB. I've heard that there are jumpers on my motherboard that will allow higher voltage, but I have not been able to identify them.

P41.6a @ 2.4GHz, 1.5v, Samsung PC2700 DDR
These are on an Asus P4S533, all parts from NewEgg.

This is the highest I've overclocked so far.

I ask only because I am selling my 1.6A with the Gigabyte 8SRX to my friend, and getting a EPoX 4G4A+ with either the 1.6A or 1.8A. I usually buy from newegg, and I read on a few threads that newegg have sold some duds lately. Please continue to post your results, especially those who recently purchase your P4 setup (also include pack date and location if possible). Thanks!

Newegg sold some duds!!! C'mon....They are no gaurantees when it comes to ocing...If iit runs at default speed intel has met its obligation....It is all about a little luck...

1.6@2.67ghz (167fsb) 334mhz ddr at 1.66v on a Epox 4bda...
1.6@2.72ghz (170fsb) 340mhz ddr at 1.69v prime tested
1.6@2.80ghz (180fsb) 360mhz ddr at 1.74v loaded windows ran benchmarks and appz (not prime tested)
1.6@2.88ghz (185fsb) 370mhz ddr at 1.79v loaded windows ran benchmarks and appz (not prime tested)

The last 2 likely would require a bit more voltage (+.05-.075v) to be prime stable...I don't like the temps at this stage and with my current cooler....

Pack date 5/16/2002 Costa Rica from NEWEGG!!!!

EPOX 4G4A+ (mwave.com)
1.6A @ 2.56 with slight voltage increase (mwave.com)
DDR 400 - 256 meg Kingston PC3200 seems to need a slight voltage increase (googlegear.com) (another one is on the way now)

The 300 watt Enlight power supply in my in my Enlight case makes me a little nervous. When the CPU is working at 100%, I can actually hear the power supply fan slow down. I've had one reboot that I think was due to the power supply, so I ordered a new 420 watt from directron.com. It was also starting to smell like it was getting too hot. Untill the new power supply gets here, I've decided to run everything at default.

Full load CPU temp is 54C with the retail HS. Is this too high?

Pack date 5/16/02 Costa Rica.

1.8A (2/11/02 pack date), Abit BG7, Hynix PC2100 RAM (bleh)...

2.4GHz/133 @ 1.625V, and the quietest machine I've ever owned! Using the new CoolerMaster IHC-H71 silent cooler and Enermax quiet power supply... Full load runs at 56C... not terribly good, but within spec, so I'll take a bit of heat for a quiet machine. The way I see it, I got a 2.4GHz proc for $165! :)

Ed

{edit} -- Oh yeah, quiet seagate drives too ;)
